Project Summary

Client: Ken Jarcho Agency

Project Description: New site for http://www.kenjarchoagency.com

Introduction:
Ken Jarcho Agency is a service based company that sells different types of insurance to individuals, families and small businesses.  They have been in business since 1965 and work mainly on referrals.  They’ve never had a website and want our help to put together a basic site that they can use to help convert referrals into customers.

About insurance industry in MN:
Individuals can buy insurance for themselves, their company, and/or their families directly from insurance providers or through an agency such as Ken Jarcho Agency.  There is no extra fee for individuals who buy insurance through an agency and agencies negotiate lower rates with insurance providers to make money.  Individuals can buy directly from providers, but the job of an agency is to help individuals pick the right policy to purchase since policies are always changing and there are lots of legal complications in terms of what situations are covered.  Agencies help explain the differences between policies to individuals and they help the individuals get the best deal possible.

Goals for the website:
The site should help convert visitors into leads through the Quote Request Forms and Referral Form. Right now Ken Jarcho has no web presence at all so this site should be informative and allow their current customers to send friends to it to make referrals even more convenient and make it really easy for potential customers to get in touch with them and find out more about their insurance products.

Budget approach:
When we  originally talked with the client their budget for building this site was about 30-35 hours. We realize this may be overly optimistic given the plan and design; however, we do want to present the cost for how we’ve envisioned the website. But, we may need to investigate cutting functionality so don’t hesitate to include additional line-items on the estimate if a simpler way to do any parts of the site seems reasonable to you.

Notes:
The client is hosting the site with us.
M
ockups are schematic and can be changed if the development team has an improved or more efficient way for implementing something.

Planned sitemap: user end

-          Home page – mockup 10 – Below the site header, this page has an intro content area and also featured banners which should rotate. There is an area for “Featured Agent” – randomly pulled from “Our Staff”, mockup 21, and a “Featured Provider” randomly pulled from “Companies we represent”, mockup 22, randomly. There is also a banner for a quick quote which shows a dropdown that will redirect the user to the appropriate “Get A Quote”, mockup 40, page on the site. Below those items is just another basic content area designed to have text about and hyperlinks to other content-only pages like “Our mission & commitment”, “services we offer”, “claims reporting”, and “referrals”.

-          About Us – not an actual page, but there will be three subpages to start with:

-          Our Mission & Commitment – mockup 20: This is a content only page. Each content only page will have a main header image, an html area for the left side of the page, the same link to the quick quotes in the right column, and an html area for the right column on the page as well.

-          Our Staff – mockup 21: This is basic bio page that should work very similar to the staff page we’re doing for recent project such as synergy-trt.com.

-          Companies We Represent – mockup 22: This page has a header and a content area and then lists information about the companies that they represent. Those companies are insurance providers and insurance providers should be a managed list.

-          Services We Offer  – not an actual page - three subpages to start with:

-          Personal Insurance – mockup 30: Content only page.

-          Commercial Insurance:  Content only page like Personal Insurance.

-          Health/Life Insurance: Content only page like Personal Insurance.

-          Get a quote – not an actual page - three subpages to start with:

-          Auto Quote – mockup 40 (all other quote pages should look similar): This page is a form that asks for the following information and that form is then mailed to the site admin.  Fields collected should be:

First NameLast Name, Current Address, City, State, Zip Code, Email Address or Phone Number, VIN # or Year, Make, Model of Vehicle, and Drivers License #

The user must agree to the terms of the form submission and when the user submits the form, that information will be emailed to someone at Ken Jarcho Agency and the user will be taken to a thank you page which should be content only.

-          Home Owners Quote: This page is a form that asks for the following information and that form is then mailed to the site admin.  Fields collected should be:

First NameLast Name, Current Address, City, State, Zip Code, Email Address or Phone Number, Home Style (e.g. two story, rambler, condo, townhouse, etc.), and Year Built

The user must agree to the terms of the form submission and when the user submits the form, that information will be emailed to someone at Ken Jarcho Agency and the user will be taken to a thank you page which should be content only.

-          Business Insurance Quote: This page is a form that asks for the following information and that form is then mailed to the site admin.  Fields collected should be:

First Name, Last Name, Current Address, City, State, Zip Code, Email Address or Phone Number, Business Type, Years In Business.

The user must agree to the terms of the form submission and when the user submits the form, that information will be emailed to someone at Ken Jarcho Agency and the user will be taken to a thank you page which should be content only.

-          Life/Health Quote: This page is a form that asks for the following information and that form is then mailed to the site admin.  Fields collected should be:

First Name, Last Name, Current Address, City, State, Zip Code, Email Address or Phone Number, Date of Birth, Smoker (Yes/No)

The user must agree to the terms of the form submission and when the user submits the form, that information will be emailed to someone at Ken Jarcho Agency and the user will be taken to a thank you page which should be content only.

-          Claims Reporting – mockup 50 - This page has a header and a content area and then lists information about “Companies We Represent”, mockup 22, from the About Us part of the site.  The list on this page should match the list for “Companies We Represent”, the only different in pages is the photo header at the top and content-only block underneath it.

-          Referrals – mockup 60 – This is a page has a content area and a simple form for users to fill out and send information to someone at Ken Jarcho Agency.  After the form is filled out, the user will be taken to a content-only thank you page which should be editable.

-          Contact – mockup 70 – This page has 3 html areas. One for the left column on the page, one above the form, and one for the right column.  The “looking for anyone specific” field should list all of the agents from “Our Staff” and the submitted form should go to the appropriate agent. After the form is filled out, the user will be taken to a content-only thank you page which should be editable.

Planned sitemap: admin end

The admin mockups should be self-explanatory given the descriptions above. There aren’t really any advanced or new things that we’re doing with this website that we haven’t done for most of the recent websites we’ve built.
